Services: Civil Engineering: Development Assessment & Feasibility

As a pro-bono or low cost service to our clients, Loomis Austin can assist property owners, investors and real estate professionals with preliminary evaluations of the development potential of a specific property. LAI will access a variety of environmental, engineering, and community-related databases to define and document the physical and regulatory characteristics of a tract.  After the client identifies a target property, we can explore the property’s physical attributes by reviewing aerial imagery and topographic maps.  We can locate environmental features that may require special consideration or permitting.  We will identify existing site improvements, utility infrastructure, and zoning designations, as well as community amenities, such as parks, pools, and libraries. LAI staff can provide plat map overlays to view the location of easements and setbacks in relation to other site features. We can develop slope maps to identify appropriate development locations and can link zip code areas or census blocks to employment and demographic data.
