Loomis Austin Donates Engineering Services to Wimberley Park

The following is an excerpt from an article published in the Wimberley View newspaper:

 Blue Hole reopening mulled

 Whether or not it reopens for summer swimming, the park Blue Hole project received a big shot in
the arm, courtesy of the engineering firm of Loomis Austin, Inc.

 The City council formally accepted a donation of $51,000 worth of engineering services from the prestigious firm.  The donation is specifically to provide design survey and construction plans for a proposed access roadway and parking lot to serve the Blue Hole Regional Park. 

“We are really thrilled just to have a small part in what we believe is a remarkable effort to save this piece of property,” said a company spokesperson.

The President of Loomis Austin, Inc., Tom Loomis, stated that he was impressed by the Village’s effort to preserve the Blue Hole property for public enjoyment and wanted to be a part of making it come to reality.  The Village is in the process of raising the funds necessary to finalize the purchase
of the property and then to develop appropriate park amenities. 

Loomis Austin, Inc. is an engineering firm that has a long history of assisting with public projects in Hays County, and is a part of the professional community that is continually giving back through pro-bono work.  Loomis Austin currently has several working projects in the Wimberley area, including
the Community Center, the Wimberley Bypass, and conceptual designs for Ranch Road 12 improvements between Wimberley and Dripping Springs.
