Waller Creek Flood Improvements Study, Austin, Texas

Loomis Austin served as project manager and principal investigator for a preliminary engineering study of prospective flood control opportunities for Waller Creek downstream of 15^th Street where over 40 buildings are located within the 100-year floodplain. The project evaluated a flood diversion tunnel, retrofit nonpoint source water quality controls, and urban design opportunities for reclaiming the floodplain including a financial analysis of ad valorem tax revenues which would accrue to the
City if the project were completed.
