San Marcos River Floodplain Revision, San Marcos, Texas

In support of a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR), Loomis Austin conducted a detailed hydraulic investigation of a section of the San Marcos River located approximately 2 miles downstream of
San Marcos, Texas.  The study encompassed revisions to the existing FEMA HEC-2 hydraulic model including  performance of cross sectional surveys, revision/updating of the effective model, and processing of a LOMR through FEMA. The Base Flood Elevation (BFE) was successfully reduced by 3 to 4 feet and the effective floodplain remapped for the adjacent property.
