Integrated Solutions Development, City of Austin Watershed Protection Dept.

LAI served as project manager and principal investigator for the two-year “Integrated Solutions Development” planning study for the Watershed Protection Department.  This investigation defined optimal City of Austin CIP, programs, and regulatory initiatives to solve existing and anticipated erosion, flood, and water quality problems within the 17 urban watersheds over a 40-year planning horizon. Project deliverables included final long-term recommendations for implementation of
capital projects, new and improved programmatic initiatives, and regulatory programs. A primary element of this project was evaluation of the need for conservation easement and land acquisition projects targeting long-term water quality enhancement, flood control and environmental protection.
