Waller Creek Flood Management and Water Quality Improvements Study, Austin

Loomis Austin was primary investigator and overall project manager for this 6-month investigation
of solutions for water quality problems in the entire Waller Creek watershed and flood problems downstream of 15th Street. Project initiatives included definition of the magnitude of current water quality and flood problems and assessment of specific flood control and water quality projects. This study resulted in the recommendation for construction of a mile-long $25 million flood diversion tunnel which is currently under design by Brown and Root.
