Services: Civil Engineering: Hydrology/Hydraulics & Floodplain Assessments

Loomis Austin has extensive experience and expertise in the analysis and design of storm drainage systems. Using state-of-the-art hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools, LAI staff has managed projects ranging from small scale subdivision flood control and drainage designs to large river flow modeling and high water marks studies. For the City of Austin, Loomis staff standardized the City’s hydrologic and hydraulic models in 17 urban watersheds from a disparate variety of software platforms into HEC-RAS and HEC-1. We have performed storm sewer adequacy analyses for major urban areas;  developed unsteady flow models in large river applications; and developed hydrologic and hydraulic analyses in support of FEMA floodplain map revisions.
